To me, being a nurse means helping people. People walk into hospitals with something wrong and we get to help and make it better. You get to meet a lot of different people with different backgrounds and learn new things everyday. You’ll never know what you’re going to walk into and who you’re going to meet. I want to try to always be positive when I’m working because you can’t blame someone for having a bad day at the hospital. I hope I work with more children than adults because it’s easier to make a bond and make them happy. It would be a good job for me because I would love seeing all the people all the time and leaving in a better mood. All the learning I would do would be very beneficial on my end as well cause ill learn more ways to help or relate to more people.

Your career is something you’re getting into for a long period of time so it should be important to you. every time you have patients and family members and they feel better, count that as a blessing. I’m still counting my blessings every day, and–guess what?—I’m getting paid for that. I thank God every day for this opportunity I have been given.”-Veena Baksh.

Deciding What You Want

What does the job you have mean to you? A lot of people are always talking about why they hate their job. It’s your choice to decide what your career is going to be. It’s up to you to choose a job you’re either going to love or hate.

You have a lot of time to decide what field you want to work in. Since elementary people have been asking what do you want to be when you grow up. Obviously your answer changes from then to now but you should have a pretty good idea about what you want to do. You should look into the job you think you want to see if it’s really for you. I’ve known I loved the thought of becoming a nurse since I had my family always telling me their stories. I didn’t let the stories alone pull me in. I did a lot of research on my own time to make sure it would be a good fit for me. I think what excites me the most is that one day I’ll be able to sit with my aunts and tell my little cousins stories about work with them. None of my aunts have ever told me that I needed to be a nurse or try to pursue me into following they’re steps, I’ve always wanted to do it. Not everyone has a family with a lot of people in the same career but you should have something that excites you the most and use it as motivation to do what you want to do.

Find a job you feel like you would be happy to wake up and go to every morning. “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work in your life”-Confucius. I agree with this quote because if you’re enjoying what you do it won’t seem hard or stressful. What do you love to do ?

Have you thought about college you want to go to and for how long ? In order to get this job you need to go graduate high school and go to college. If you’re willing to do the work to get there it should be exciting.

You usually need to be in college for at least four years to become a registered nurse.I want to go to West Coast college in Ontario and you could finish school within three years .If you’re serious about wanting to start your career and have the time to finish quickly i think it’s a good idea to start looking into schools where you can finish faster. My aunts have always taught me that when you know what you want to do you should have a whole plan. They call it the whole plan because you should have a job on the side and how you are and how you are going to get to school.Having a job on the side will help you out in the future by showing the job you apply for that you’re not lazy. You should also start going to college as soon as you graduate high school. Taking a break from school could distract you and make you question what career you want to get into too.

Before you graduate you should have a plan figured out. Knowing how much time you’re going to spend to get where you want to be. “Those at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there”-Marcus Washling. I feel like this means a lot to me because it helps me remind myself I have to work towards what I want.

What Caught My Attention

What are some things that got you interested in pursuing your career ?There is a lot of little things that make me love the idea of becoming a nurse.I’ve never had a different plan for my future, I’ve always known this job is for me.

The things I like about this career is that you get to meet and help a lot of people every day. It’s a job where you socialize with other workers but still have your own things to do on your time.I believe this job would be a good fit for me because I’m very social and can stay focused when it’s necessary. I am usually almost always in a good mood and i’m patient so I can deal with a lot of stuff from the clients without getting frustrated. Also I can do work quickly and am good with computers too so I can get paperwork done easily.Another thing that like is that everyday would be different .People go to hospitals for different reasons all the times so you never know what you’re going to expect.None of the people are ever exactly the same either.

When you decide what career you’re interested in you should have type of motivation so that you don’t lose interest. “I have never been bored as a registered nurse because I never know what the day will bring. With a nursing degree, you can go anywhere in the world and help anyone—it’s universal.”—Kelly Hebe. This quote got my attention because it’s true you never know what work is going to be like and that’s my motivation. What motivates you to do what you do ?

Mother And Daughter Talking To Female Nurse In Hospital Room

How I Got Into Nursing

Have you ever thought about what you want to do after graduating? I’ve always had my family to help me look at different careers and gave me a lot of support. My family has always been a big influence on what I want to do in the future and how I made my plan to do it.

How I got interested in being a registered nurse is because a lot of my aunts are nurses or caregivers. I grew up close to all of them so I seen them going to college and pursuing their careers and always wanted to do the same. All of my aunts are nurses so I grew up hearing all their stories and how work went and got a real interest in it. A lot of people think that since nursing runs in my family that I have to work in the same field but I genuinely want to.None of the stories they’ve told me have scared me off yet but just make me that much more interested to take the chance and follow their steps.I am excited to have good days and bad days with all different kinds of people. My family also has helped me look into schools for nursing. They don’t just come and tell me their stories and tell me about their days they help me get involved. They told me about all the school I could apply to, how I would get there, and how long I would be there.

Having all the support that I get helps me stay motivated to stay on the right track to get where I want to be.My aunt always told me that just having faith and hope isn’t going to get you anywhere you need to get up and do the work. That always stuck in my head because it’s real, you can really want something but can’t expect for it to just be handed to you. You need to put in the work. Are you willing to put in the work to get what you want for yourself ?
